intangible aptitudes, one must be organized and prone to orderliness. Outstanding leadership ability—Comprehending the ministry as a position of trust and leadership where sound principles and practices of getting the will of the Lord into followers and performed by them is achieved. Influential government ability—The wisdom to enact, legislate, and regulate the conduct, behavior, and pursuits of the benefited groups without sacrificing the Lord’s best interests.

If you are going to be a church prophet, or a prophet of any type for the Lord Jesus Christ, you should be naturally exhibiting the twenty traits described above. That is, they should not have to be instilled in you, but rather be refined through your prophetic education and service. Why do you think the first thirty-six points and the last twenty points given are important to a prophet’s ministry? When you consider your answers, review the lists again, and think about the problems or issues they address. Consider how the listed traits and characteristics translate to prophetic action that begets God’s solutions. If you can see the practicality of the two, you are well on your way to understanding the prophetic and the ministry of the official prophet. These traits are covered more fully in chapter 13. Are Prophets Really for Today? As we stated previously, prophets are for today as much as ever. As long as God, the devil, and man all stay the same, the need for the prophet continues. Revelation 11 says they will continue until the end of this age. These three and the world are all interrelated, and prophets and the prophetic law are how each one contacts and conveys information to and through one another. It does not matter how modern we appear; closer scrutiny shows we have not progressed that far after all. We have noticed how technology names its work after the same demons the Lord has fought with since antiquity. When you purchase many computer programs, not to mention computer games, you are met with the names of ancient demons in the guise of their mythological images. Beyond this, the Internet floods us with ungodly figures and practices, reviving them for a new round of age-old wizardry. In fact, the word wizard appears in nearly every computer program as if to compel us to embrace them in our society.
