Propensity for visions and dreams—Dreams of a predictive, revelatory, and highly insightful nature that are hard to forget or dismiss. Sensitivity to spiritual things—Ability to pierce the spheres of the flesh and spirit, the visible and invisible layers of creation, to perceive God’s truth in action. Comprehension of prophetic matters—Grasping the apparently superficial to identify and isolate its divine, supernatural, and apocalyptic roots and/or to surface its predictive and revelatory elements. Apprehension of role and place of prophecy—Giving credence to the subtle yet lofty position and imposition of prophecy upon human life and earthly existence. Awareness of God, most specifically Jesus’ testimony, as prophecy—Understanding that there is a Creator, accepting what happens in the now is the direct result of what He has ordained and inscribed on His handiwork from eternity. Capacity for revelation discovery—The ability to pull back the veils of humanism and secularism to uncover the hallowed, holy truths of the Almighty in a given situation. Peculiar interpretative skills—Seeing things at face value while instinctively applying the probe of the Creator’s truth to their meanings and outcomes. Extraordinary wisdom and human insight—Knowing that the wisdom from above, as James’ epistle says, is first pure, then peaceable, and easy to entreat. (See James 3:17.) As such, it is as the only answer to the woes and troubles of the world. Great sense of practical application—Not being only a hearer of the Word of God, but also a resolute doer of its work, resolving life’s thorny issues with heaven’s eternal remedies. (See James 1:23.) Heightened spiritual discernment—Recognizing that what is seen with the human eyes and discerned by human senses is merely the
