The most major indication of all is death. If you suddenly find your membership hit often with the death of significant and stable members beyond the aged, a prophet is certainly needed in your church because a death agent has been set to doom it. Lastly, if there is a pressing need for huge financial infusions in the ministry, you need a prophet with an economic stronghold in the heavenlies. As you can see, the modern church’s need for prophetic strength is just as dire, if not more so, as that of the early church.
