Where Prophecy Originated As I explained previously, prophecy comes from the Creator. What makes it prophecy according to definition is its sphere of formation, which is eternity. Anything God says is prophetic because He spoke it outside of our time to be manifested in our era. This is why prophecy relies much on dreams and visions. These mechanisms of divine communication are not time-bound, even if the dreamer receives them on a given day or night. When they come as images depicting what God is doing or wants to do, they are prophetic.
