The prophet's handbook

will use the prophet’s revelation to nurture the youngster in God’s divine purpose. Children in the church should have as ample a time to hear from God about their lives as the adults do. Having trained prophets minister to them as practice is a good developmental exercise. Church prophets should be in attendance at, or soon after, a youngster’s conversion or baptism to minister the Lord’s word on his or her new life and to cover him or her with the mantle of the church. The way a child’s parents were nurtured may naturally attempt to overthrow the will of God in a child’s life, so the Lord’s higher powers must intervene early to prevent needless upsets and diversions that take youngsters, novice ministers, and newcomers to Jesus Christ off course.
