GAPS AND HEDGES

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. (Ezek. 22:30) O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord. (Ezek. 13:4-5) The New English Bible says, "They have not gone up into the breach to repair the broken wall round the Israelites, that they might stand firm in the battle." Prophetic intercession fills the gaps. A gap is an opening. Demons look for gaps to enter. Prophets have the ability to see the gaps and stand in them. They position themselves to pray and intercede in the gaps. Prophetic intercession makes up the hedge. A hedge is a protective barrier, a fence. Broken hedges allow serpents to enter
