to make intercession. The word of the LORD can stir us to intercession. The false prophets of Israel had no burden for intercession. They were not concerned about protecting the people. They were blind to the danger approaching. They were not fulfilling a shamar function. The prophet's primary charge, if you recall, is to stand in the gap and make up the hedge for God's people on earth. This responsibility is where Israel's prophet's fail in Eze. 13:5. (Paula Price)
