D egenerative D iseases From the moment we are conceived, the processes of life are carried out by our biological executor called DNA. Our DNA holds the genetic code for our life, health, and for the unique physical features of our bodies. DNA has the divine blueprint for our body, programming our cells to maintain optimum health from birth to death. The body is a magnificent biological system that provides an earth-suit for our spirits and, once filled with the Holy Spirit, provides a vessel through which God conducts His affairs in the earth realm. Degenerative diseases are the means by which Satan interferes with the life God wants for us all. (See Job 33:21; Psalm 22:14–17; John 5:1–6.) D elusion This weapon causes man to hold on to false perceptions, images, concepts, beliefs, and opinions generated by demons, embracing them as if they were truth and reality. (See 2 Thessalonians 2:11.) The delusion may manifest itself as any of the following types: persecutory (the individual believes he or she is being threatened or mistreated by others), grandiose (the individual believes that they are extraordinarily important people or are possessed of extraordinary power, knowledge, or ability), jealous (the individual focuses on the suspected unfaithfulness of a spouse or sexual partner), “erotimatic” (an individual convinces themselves that some person of eminence, usually someone they do not have close contact with or have never met but with whom they frequently have corresponded, is in love with them), somatic (a false belief focused on a delusional physical abnormality or disorder, like false pregnancies), and folie à deux (an extremely rare type of shared delu sion, resulting from a close relationship with someone else who already has a delusions disorder). D epression Depression has become a prevalent mental disease in our world today. This weapon causes psychotic or neurotic conditions, and emotional and physiological disorders. (See Psalm 69:20; 119:28; Matthew 26:38.) It is characterized by an inability to concentrate, insomnia, constant feelings of extreme sadness, lack of motivation, irritability, withdrawal tendencies, weight loss or gain, loneliness, fatigue, and thoughts of suicide, especially
