Release Love, the mind of Christ, restoration, healing, deliverance, faith, hope, and forgiveness S pirit of R eligion A spirit of religion portrays itself as having a very high devotion to God or a deity, but merely deceives its hosts into placing more emphasis on religious activities than a true relationship with God. In the trial of Jesus, we see another spirit called the spirit of Barabas, which seeks to make scapegoats of others. It is a spirit that assassinates and maligns. Scriptural reference for the spirit of religion Galatians 1:13–14; Matthew 23:17; Luke 11:37–54; 1 Timothy 4:1–2
