They give aid and information to the enemies of the one to whom they are assigned. In the military, a sleeper is one who has undercover, surreptitious assignments. He looks, acts, talks, and walks like “one of us,” but has an assignment from another camp. This spirit can remain undercover and undetected for years before it strikes.
