Babylon is a system of control. It has its own cosmological system, which is the exact antithesis of the kingdom of God. It has its own political system, legislative bodies, and governments, just like any other physical, natural kingdom, nation, or country. Its principles, policies, and religious practices are promoted by the doctrines of man and devils and permeate throughout the twelve systems of the universe. It is assigned to hinder, frustrate, and sabotage the fulfillment of purpose, undermine destinies, and imprison the souls of man. The spirits of behemoth, leviathan, mammon, Egypt, Pharaoh, and Herod function with the spirit of Babylon, forming a strong confedera tion within many nations and countries and controlling their destinies as well as the destinies of their citizenship. Scriptural reference for the spirit of Babylon Jeremiah 42:1–12; 51:1; Luke 22:1–5; Revelation 16:8–17:18; 18:1–12 Signs, symptoms, and manifestations of the spirit of Babylon See “Spirits of Egypt, Pharaoh, and Herod.”
