Reconnaissance

Getting Delivered and Overcoming the Enemy

O ne reason many people do not experience the kind of success they want when engaging in spiritual warfare is because of generaliza tion or ignorance. Do not fall into the trap of making a sweeping generalization, and do not war ignorantly. Spirits are so masterful in their warfare. They engineer many deceptive activities that sometimes could fool the most skilled spiritual warrior. Flip through chapter 6, and find the spirits that you are dealing with. You will see that this list contains the main spirit or strongman and the ways in which each spirit can manifest itself in your life. These are called subordinate spirits. With this list in hand, you are facing a winning battle. As the old G. I. Joe cartoons used to say, “Knowing is half the battle.” Realize that your reliance is upon the Lord and not your skill. Therefore, as you engage in warfare, it is important to wipe out all associated spirits. Apprise yourself of the unique characteristics of the strongman. Cover your self with the armor of the Lord, and begin to bind and loose, utilizing the authority of Jesus’s name. Ask God to bring total deliverance to you, your family, your city, your ministry, and your nation. In this chapter, I am going to expose the strongman and the subordi nate spirits that can infiltrate your mind, finances, family history, health, future, and even your nation. We are going to war together for victory in all these areas. I am going to give specific scriptural references for each of these spirits, but I didn’t do the work for you. You will need your sword (the Bible, the Word of God) nearby as you engage the enemy through these next two sections. We will proceed alphabetically.
