Gearing Up for Battle

What Are Your Weapons?

W hen the Lord initially introduced me to the concepts of intrinsic and extrinsic weapons, they were merely revelational words that were downloaded into my conscious mind by the Holy Spirit as He trained me in the art of strategic prayer and spiritual warfare. I employed these terms in my prayer vocabulary and later added them as one of the warfare declarations in chapter 3. A few months after the initial revelation, my spirit really grasped the true meaning of these terms, and the Holy Spirit once again began to reveal to me how potent the scriptural declaration “no weapon formed against me shall prosper” really was. My paradigm instantly shifted from the mere utterance of a phrase that provided me with an intel lectually conceptualized arsenal, and the understanding of how the wiles of the devil are actually executed, to an understanding of how powerful intrinsic and extrinsic satanic weapons really are. This one declaration opened my eyes to see how covert the attack of the enemy really was in my own life. I began to make inquiries of the Lord concerning the diversity and magnitude of these weapons of mass destruc tion. I was aware of some of them, but not all. I want to ask you two questions: Has anyone ever quoted to you the scripture taken from Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon forged against you will prevail” (niv)? Has anyone ever explained to you what the weapons were? Well, I want you to know that you can both discern and identify how the enemy is fighting against you, the weapon(s) he has designed for your demise, and how to successfully counteract. This chapter has been written to arm you with specific insights into the actual weapons you should use. This is not designed to alarm, but to arm you for effective battle.
