Counterattacking the Weapons of the Enemy

Delusion counterattack “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Bind every spirit that twists and perverts your mind and thoughts. Ask God to place truth in your heart and to deliver you from all delusions. Depression counterattack “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heavi ness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified” (Isa. 61:3). Ask God to remove the spirit of heaviness. Get up, open your curtains, help someone less fortunate than you (visit the hospital, read to someone in the nursing home), start journaling, sing, dance, read the Word of God, play soothing music, go outside, worship, fellowship. Rebuke the spirit of depression. Decree and declare—the joy of the Lord is my strength. Deprivation counterattack Bind the spirit of deprivation, and decree and declare that through divine intervention rivers of success, progress, and prosperity begin to flow. Decree and declare that the anointing of Cyrus is released, and it flows according to Isaiah 45:1–3, “Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” Discouragement counterattack Pray these Bible passages: “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him” (Ps. 62:5). “The hope of the righteous shall be glad ness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish” (Prov. 10:28). Disillusionment counterattack Gird up your mind. Pray without ceasing. Bind the spirit of disillusion ment. Ask God to give you a vision of a future characterized by success and to
