And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, oh Lord. For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not from hence forth thou shalt catch men. And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him. Luke 5:4-11 The Scripture says that He "manifested His glory." Miracles are a manifestation of the glory of God. It is the glory of God that changes you. Miracles will change you. The Apostle Peter is an example. The Bible says that Jesus called Peter and his brother and told them to follow Him and He would make them fishers of men. There is another account that says that Jesus told Peter to cast his net for a draught. When Peter drew his net, the catch was so great, it was miraculous. Upon seeing this, Peter fell at Jesus' feet and said, "Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man." That miracle broke Peter and changed his life. I am finding out, by the Spirit of God, that one of the reasons why we don't have a lot of strong ministries being birthed in the earth, is because many of them have not been birthed through miracles. Miracles can birth ministries. Peter's ministry was birthed through a miracle. When that net broke, he fell at the feet of Jesus and said, "Lord, depart from me." The Lord said, "Fear not, Peter, for from hence forth thou shalt catch men..." This is your ministry, Peter. Miracles are more than just, "Well, we had a miracle." Miracles change people and they birth strong ministries into the
