the mysteries, prophecies, and revelations will have been disclosed.

The various images of Christ, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, etc., will merge into one after "correct explanation" of the mysteries, prophecies and revelations are disclosed. This "ONE GOD" will in fact function as the "Anti-Christ", who will "explain" that the various scriptures "have been misunderstood"- that the religious of old are responsible for turning bro ther against brother, nation against nation - that the religions of the world must be abolished to make way for the GOLDEN AGE (NEW AGE) of the One World Religion, representing the One God they see before them.

3.2 THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE

John Frankenheimer’s ‘The Manchurian Candidate’ (1962), based on Richard Condon’s 1959 novel of the same name, is a hallucinatory conspiracy thriller about a soldier who returns a decorated hero from the Korean War, but has in fact been brainwashed to become a sleeper ass assin at the heart of the American political system. Released during the Cuban Missile crisis when Cold War paranoia was at its peak, and withdrawn from circulation a year later when the all too real assassination of President JFK proved too close to the f ilm’s fictional premise for comfort, ‘The Manchurian Candidate’ tapped so deeply into the anxieties and hysteria of early sixties America that it was not deemed safe for re-release there until a full quarter century later.

In the movie, Raymond Shaw played by Liev Schreiber is a vice presidential candidate, while his over-affectionate mother does not merely manipulate from the wings but is now herself an influential senator. Through a series of neural brain implants Raymond is controlled by a powerful gro up who see him as possessing the looks, war accolades and charm to win the presidential election and the sinister group behind the plot is a multinational corporation called Manchurian Global. Major Ben Marco, played by Denzel Washington discovers the conspiracy and then seeks to warn Raymond regarding the findings that he is being manipulated and controlled by a higher elite.
