The Five Points in Revelation 20

1. Christ has returned with the saints to set up a 1000-year kingdom in Jerusalem 2. Christ will be the King over the entire earth and the saints will be rulers, kings, and priests 3. Christ will bind Satan and cast the antichrist, false prophet, and those with the mark into hell 4. Christ receives worship, sacrifices, and each year the world celebrates Tabernacles 5. Christ will allow Satan to be loosed at the end of the 1000 years

A. Satan is loosed for a “season.”

1. The tribulation survivors will make up perhaps 1/3 o f the world’s population (Zech. 13:8-9) 2. These human survivors will repopulate the earth during the 1000 years 3. The descendents of these survivors must be tested as we were while we lived on earth

B. Satan will attempt to overthrow the “camp”

1 . The Greek word “camp” means a military encampment or military barracks 2 . To “compass it” means to encircle it (they circle the ci ty of Jerusalem); there are no walls 3. God destroys and defeats the armies along with Satan 4. Compare Ezekiel 38-39 and Revelation 20:8-9

2. Chambers are under the earth

a. In Luke 16:22, there is an upper chamber in sheol (called Abraham’s Bosom) b. In Matt. 5:29-30, there is a main chamber ( hell ) for the souls of the unrighteous c. 2 Pet. 2:4, there is a lower chamber ( tartarus ) where fallen angels are bound
