Secrets from Beyond The Grave

In Hebrews 11:10 we read where even Abraham "looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God" (KJV). The patriarch understood that God lived in a heavenly city. However, outside of Moses seeing into heaven and building the tabernacle furniture according to the pattern of God (Heb. 8:5) and David receiving a revelation of the patterns for the future temple built by Solomon (1 Chron. 28:19-21), after nearly four thousand years of human history, John was finally permitted to see and describe the heavenly city, called the New Jerusalem. John wrote: I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. --Revelation 21:2 The city lies in a square, its length being the same as its width. And he measured the city with his reed--12,000 stadia (about 1,500 miles); its length and width and height are the same. He measured its wall also--144 cubits (about 72 yards) by a man's measure [of a cubit from his elbow to his third fingertip], which is [the measure] of the angel. --Revelation 21:16-17, AMP The New Jerusalem is fifteen hundred miles wide and long at the base and fifteen hundred miles across at the base.
