Secrets from Beyond The Grave

In heaven, rewards for believers will be given based upon individual works, words, and special deeds performed while we were living on Earth. Just as there are various crowns, ruling positions for the future kingdom, and specific rewards for the faithful, I believe there are also levels of punishment and confinement based upon the sins and spiritual knowledge of each person, based upon if his or her actions were sins against knowledge or sins of ignorance. Christ taught that the people from His day would be judged more severely than those of the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. This is because the cities of Christ's day witnessed the miracles and yet refused to repent. However, if the wicked city of Sodom, in Lot's day (Gen. 19), had witnessed the miracles of Christ, they would have repented in sackcloth and ashes (Matt. 11:20-24). The greatest eternal danger for any living person is to have known the true gospel, have been raised in a home with strong Christian faith, and to turn away from scriptural understanding, only to pass from this life having sinned against the truth. After all, there are only two worlds after this life, and it is important to know where your journey will end. And when you arrive, it will be a permanent stay.
