shame. For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh lin danger of} unto cursing; whose end is to be burned." Hebrews 6:4-8

Pastor, are you secretly engaging in sexual adultery? If you are, you are in danger of being cursed by God! Christian\ are you refusing to put sin out of your life as the Holy Spirit has been convicting you? If you are, you are in danger of being cursed! You who have come out of the occult, are you toying with the idea of doing "just one more incanta· tion" to get yourself out of a situation where God is not answering your requests? If you do\ you have crucified Jesus afresh and put Him to an open shame. You are in danger of being cursed!

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." Philippians 2:12-13

Our wonderful God delights to commune with His people, but our lack of reverence for Him blocks Him from being able to do so most of the time. The Holy Spirit is willing and eager to work in us to help us to want to do God's will. But we grieve and block Him by clinging to those sinful desires we cherish. We are easy on ourselves and make excuses by saying it is normal for everyone to "backslide" occasionally, and that it "takes time to drop off sins." We cling to our pride and refuse to allow God to humble us. All the time we are lying to ourselves and to everyone else! God makes no room for sin or "backsliding" anywhere in His word. Either we are serious, deadly serious about our commitment to the Lord, or we are on our way to Hell. It is just that simple. Let us pray earnestly and ask the Lord to reveal something of His greatness to us and put within us that holy fear of which He is so deserving.
