Prepare-for-War
her mother's first marriage. Her mother obtained a divorce from Lisa's father when she discovered that he had been sexually molesting her. A few years later Lisa's mother became a Christian and married her current husband. Unfortunately, they did not know that Lisa was demon possessed. But they did know that she had been the only one of 4 children to steadily refuse the Lord and to be con tinuously rebellious. Lisa was the "Achan" in their home. Lisa's parents labored in much prayer and fasting and counseling with her for several weeks. Lisa en joyed the demonic powers she had learned to use, refused to give up her rebellion and bitterness so her parents were unable to cast the demons out of her. Finally, after several weeks the Lord told them that they must bring their household into order. With many tears, they told Lisa she must move out. They continued to help her financially until she could find work, but they did not permit her to return to their home and told her that she could not do so unless she completely committed her life to the Lord and commanded all the demons to leave her life. Immediately, all demonic activity in their. house came to an end. They were all extremely bat· tered and ill, but the Lord has been steadily healing and strengthening them and they have again resumed their ministry. This is an example of the importance of having our household in order. I know of no other trial more heart-breaking then the removal of children who are of age and who continue in rebellion. Elaine and I have been faced with this issue ourselves, so we do not write about this lightly. We know the heartbreak involved. But we cannot take the aggressive against Satan with an "Achan" in our camp.
