Prepare-for-War

Holy Spirit indwells us He will be quick to bring sin to our attention. If we continually disobey Him and refuse to put the sins out of our life as He brings them to our attention, then we will quench Him and He will stop talking to us. We must all go through the baptism by fire as writ~ ten about in Chapter 6 if we are to successfully wage aggressive warfare against Satan. If we have people living in our homes, other than spouses, who are of age and who are walking in rebellion to the Lord, then we must either bring them to a commitment to Christ, or remove them from the household. I know that sounds harsh, but it is according to God's word.

6. Our households must be in order.

"One that ruleth well his own house, having his. children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?") I Timothy 3:4-5 ..... ordain elders in every city, as I had ap pointed thee: If any be blameless, the hus band of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly." Titus 1:5-6 ..For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" I Peter 4:17

Rebellious children, wives, or other people within a household are legal ground for Satan to attack. People with unbelieving spouses are in extremely difficult situations because of this principle.
