ing to be a laborer in the harvest?

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they be lieve in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" Romans 10:13-15 If you are willing to be a laborer, then you must be called. "And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" Romans 10:15 The wear and tear, emotionally, physically and spiritually, of laboring in this harvest is so great that we cannot hope to stand in it if we are not definitely called by God. We must tell the Lord that we are willing to serve Him, but we must also petition Him to make His call to us very clear. We need the assurance of knowing that we are sent out into the har vest by the Lord. However, we cannot play games. Once we are called we must be obedient to that call. It is a very serious matter to refuse God's call on our lives. Jesus said that if we do so, we are not fit to be a member of God's kingdom. I believe obedience is the key to our Lord's statement: "Many are called, but few are chosen." Matthew 22:14 The reason why "few are chosen" is because few are obedient. The "chosen" ones are the obedient ones. "Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice ... " I Samuel15:22 Ask the Lord to initiate a covenant with you if that is within HIS will. But don't enter into any covenant with the Lord lightly. We are in a life-and-death battle, dear ones, our own life and soul is at stake as well as the lives and souls of many others. "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom ofGod." Luke 9:62
