Rene had six months of struggle afterwards to keep the demons out, but she had helpful brothers and sisters in Christ to support her. Through her deliverance experience, she had learned how to rebuke the demons and keep them out. Needless to say, her conversion was a meaningful experience, and Rene treasures her salvation more than most young people I meet. She has remained free and clear ofdemons for a year now, and is growing in the Lord. Our natural human compassion often leads us to try to jump in and relieve a person's pain without helping them to work through a situation. The Lord knows that usually we will value the things we have to work for more than some thing which comes to us free. Rene labored to get those demons out, and as a result she was determined to keep them out! Useo{Oil Anointing with oil is very helpful in deliverances. Often, I anoint with oil for each of the leading demons. It just depends on how the Holy Spirit leads. But don't overlook this helpful tooL Tongues The issue of tongues creates great difficulties in the area of deliverance. Too many times, in Pentecostal churches, people assume that someone has been delivered because they start speaking in tongues. However, they make the grave error of not testing the spirit doing the speaking. Many times a demon will speak through the person to try to deceive the deliverance workers into thinking they are clear.
