Prepare-for-War
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." II Corinthians 4:3-4
We know that God must bring judgment upon people be cause of their sin, "their own way have I recompensed upon their heads." But, God loves us so much that He gave His own Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place (John 3:16). People should gladly accept God's salvation and escape His wrath and judgment. But they do NOT. Why? Because, as Corinthians tells us, they are blinded by Satan and his demons. Demons then must be the reason God wants the ''gap" plugged. To keep demons from coming through and blinding people to keep them from accepting God's "escape route" from judgment. Ephesians also shows us that the warfare of the "gap" is against demons. Clearly, the war is fought on a battlefield in the spirit world, not in the physical world. This is where the "Valley of Deci sion" comes in. Joel 3 tells us that there are "multitudes" in this Valley of Decision. That is why we are supposed to prepare for war. "Proclaim ye this among the gentiles~ Prepare war." Joel3:9 The only way these multitudes of people in the Valley of Decision can be saved, is if .we Christians are willing to "stand in the gap" and fight the demons pouring through to blind the minds of all those people so that they cannot accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. This is the goal of this book. To help prepare Christians to go to war! A war fought in the spirit world against Satan and his demons, with the power and authority ofJesus Christ. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wicked ness in high places." Ephesians 6:12
