Visualization The past several years have seen a multitude of erroneous teachings amongst God's people regarding the use of visualization. I want to show, by God's word, just how dangerous this practice is. First, let's define some of these teachings. People are taught that they can have tremendous power to alter their life, bring about healing in their physical bodies or the bodies of others, bring about emotional healings, achieve wealth and success, all through the use of visualization. Just exactly what is visualization? Visualization is the creation of an image or picture in the mind through imagination. People are told that they must visualize an image or picture of whatever it is they want. As they frequently re-create or visualize the same picture over and over, this "releases the power" to bring the vision into existence in their life. For example: if they have a tumor in their liver, they must visualize their liver and the tumor, and then visualize the tumor shrinking until it actually vanishes altogether. They spend time every day reproducing this picture of events over and over in their minds until the tumor is actually gone.
