Herman followed the three steps. First, he scrutinized his thoughts. Second, he recognized the source of the thoughts. Third, he directly rebuked the demon, and lastly, brought to his mind the powerful word of God. If Herman would have stopped at just recognizing the attack he would have lost. All of the steps must be followed. Commitment is an area which demons attack. Weak Chris tians are Christians who don't keep commitments. The first step towards breaking a commitment is "toying" with thoughts of breaking it. Thinking about the "What irs." Let's look at one of the most common areas attacked by Satan- the commitment of marriage.
