Prepare-for-War

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness ... For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:16-23

This scripture shows us that we serve one of two masters. We serve Satan through sin, or God the Father through the righteousness of Jesus Christ. The wages of serving Satan is death. The wages of serving God is eternal life.

[Jesus said] ''I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Jesus' claim is absolute. There is only one way to God, and that is through Jesus Christ and the terrible price He paid for our sins when He died on the cross. However, Satan always works by deception. His plan down through the ages has been to deceive the masses of people into thinking they are serving God through Jesus Christ, when in fact, they are actually serving Satan. Jesus himself spoke about Satan's deception in this area while He was here on this earth.

"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many . . . Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Matthew 24:4-S, 23-24

We are clearly warned by the scriptures that many people will claim to worship "Jesus," when, in fact, they are not worshiping the Jesus of the Bible.
