3. You can ask the Lord to let you "stand in the gap" for the unsaved person. This will be discussed in more detail in Chapter 16. (See Ezekiel22:30,31.) Ask the Lord to let you stand in the gap for this person in order that their eyes may be opened and their will set free to accept Jesus. 4. Lastly, you must understand our wonderful position of power through Jesus. Hebrews says: Scripture shows us that Satan comes before God and peti tions Him for people. The account given in the first chapter of Job clearly demonstrates this. Also, Satan obviously peti tioned God for Peter. "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou are converted, strengthen thy brethren." Luke 22:31,32 Satan is not finally thrown out of heaven until the twelfth chapter of Revelation. "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

You must understand that Satan stands before the throne of God petitioning our heavenly Father for our unsaved loved ones. Satan points the accusing finger and says, "See, so-and-so is participating in rock music (or whatever), therefore I have legal right to his/her soul and to influence
