Chapter 2 Exercising Faith For Your Healing

And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction." —Mark 5:34 FAITH RELEASES THE healing anointing. Unbelief blocks healing. The woman with the issue of blood put a demand on the anointing with her faith. Faith is like a vacuum that draws the anointing. Jesus not only ministered with the anointing, but He also let the people know He was anointed (Luke 4:18). When they heard He was anointed, it was their responsibility to believe and receive. The people of Nazareth did not believe and could not draw from His anointing. (See Mark 6:1-6.) He could do no mighty work in Nazareth because of their unbelief. If they would have believed, they could have drawn from His anointing and been healed. But the woman with the issue of blood believed. She believed enough to press through the crowds, reach out, and touch the healer Himself. In Luke 8:46, Jesus says, "Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me."
