found ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers in this realm (Dan. 1:20), for by His might God has empowered me with His Spirit and healed my mind. Like Daniel, I will answer those who inquire of me with counsel and wisdom (Dan. 2:14). With Daniel I bless the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and sets them up. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to them who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him (Dan. 2:20-22). I thank You and praise You, God of my fathers, for You have given me wisdom and might. You have made known to me what I have asked of You (Dan. 2:23). Secret things have not been revealed to me to show that I am wiser than anyone else, but they have been revealed to benefit the people so that they will understand what is in their own hearts (Dan. 2:30). Kings and rulers will hear of me and the Spirit of God that dwells in me. They will know that light, understanding, and excellent wisdom are found in me (Dan. 5:14).
