Healing Through Fasting (Isa. 58:8) When you fast in the way that God leads you, He says that "your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the L ORD shall be your rear guard.” According to this verse, you will be healed when you fast, but better yet, lasting can serve as preventative medicine. It says, “The L ORD shall be your rear guard.” In other words, sickness can’t sneak up on you. God’s got your back. While everyone else is getting swine flu, you’re healthy.
