Where is America in Bible Prophecy?

"There was another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation. It was planted in the good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine." (Ezekiel 17:7-8) The vision of the eagle recorded in 2 Esdras contains certain parallels that may refer to the United States. While America is not alluded to directly in Scripture, it may be referred to indirectly. God weaves His prophetic revelations within Scripture by using patterns, types and implications.
