Restoring the Strength of the Eagle

years, Christians in America have led the way in financing the Gospel of Christ to the Gentile nations of the world, supporting missionaries and evangelistic crusades to the remote parts of the earth. Yet, once the nations have heard the message, that assignment is complete (Matthew 24:14). The symbolism of the vineyard and the olive tree unlocks clues to America's prophetic importance as a nation, along with the role of the Christian church. As the Hebrew prophets and the apostle Paul indicate, God will, in the future, restore His vineyard. The process began with the rebirth of Israel as a nation. God will also graft back into the tree those branches that were removed through unbelief. For discerning believers, the signs indicate that, within a few years, a major transition will unfold. According to prophecy, a major seventh empire will form in the area of the old Roman Empire. Many scholars believe this is the European Economic Community. When this powerful unit of nations finally becomes one with a new currency and free borders, America will be in a peculiar situation. We will be forced to follow Europe into a new global order, or else lag behind. Prophecy indicates that around this time, the focal point will be on the Middle East and Israel. With the possibility of so many prophetic Scriptures and situations coming to pass in the next few years, where does that leave America? Only with the passing of time will we fully understand the final destiny of America. I do believe we have an open window at this time, and we must continue to take every opportunity to reach the nations while the doors remain open. We can allow God to pluck the eagle's wings when the prophetic time comes or, through our disobedience to God's Word, we can watch as the eagle dies a slow death in the wilderness of unbelief and sin. It is my prayer that we will choose to follow God, complete our assignment, and fulfill our complete destiny as God intended. With the right leadership at the right time, and with people who know how to act upon the Word of God, I believe we will do so.
