Plucking the Eagle's Wings
Plucking the Eagle's Wings
course in Greek is dromos meaning a running of a race . It comes from the root word edramon meaning to run . In his ministry, Paul ran his part of the race, then transferred his authority to Timothy. This new nation, the church, is one unending race of faith. We pass the baton on to the next generation and they continue to run the race. Eventually, we will come to the finish line and God will catch away the church (the spiritual nation) signifying Israel's final restoration. At that time, God will fulfill the final prophecy in Daniel 9 concerning the seven-year tribulation period (Daniel 9:27). Through it Israel shall be saved. From the birth of the church on Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4) until the present, the church has been one unending generation. Christ is the 42 nd generation from Abraham and since the new nation, the church, was born out of Christ's death, the church is the 43 rd generation. In ancient Israel, once each year the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies and sprinkled the blood of goats and bulls upon the Ark of the Covenant. Jewish author Alfred Eldersheim wrote that the sacrificial blood was sprinkled on the ark, before the veil, and upon the altar forty-three times (Source: The Temple , Alfred Eldersheim, page 316). Therefore, Israel's atonement was complete only after the 43 rd time that the High Priest ceremonially sprinkled blood on the 10th day of the 7th month, known as Yom Ha Kippur. The remaining blood was poured out on the west side of the base of the altar of burnt offering. Since America and Israel share many profound patterns, could there be a connection between our 43 rd president and the fact that atonement was completed only after blood was ceremonially sprinkled forty-three times? Could the 43 rd president serve this nation during a season when the fullness of the Gentiles nears its end? The word fullness used in Romans 11:12 refers to the completion of the number of Gentiles who receive the blessing through the Gospel (Source: Vines Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words ). When this fullness of the Gentiles is complete, two things will happen. First, the Gospel of Christ will have
