Satan works so hard to control the airwaves because they can be used to deliver propaganda, or they can be used to deliver the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The secular, anti-God mindset that dominates the high places is often being manipulated by powerful unseen forces. The Scriptures tell us that it is the gods of this world that have blinded the minds of men who do not believe (2 Corinthians 4:4). People often become the voice of the adversary. Consider the ministry of Jesus, for example. Critics identified Him as the son of Joseph and not the Son of God (John 6:42). Others said His healing ability was of Satanic origin (Matthew 12:24). When Christ arose from the dead, the frightened Roman soldiers lied by saying, "While we slept, the disciples stole His body" (Matthew 28:13). The purpose of these verbal assaults was to destroy the reputation of Christ, thus hindering His influence. The anti-Bible crowd will continue to print, publish, and promote anti-Christian values and assault those who accept the Bible as the Word of God. Believers must be aware of the subtle land mines being laid throughout the nation and be able to carefully discern the motive and content of news reports and media tactics designed to harm churches, ministers, and Christian organizations. We must take advantage of the Christian television and Christian satellite programming that is available to us. We must support these efforts so the truth can be preached without distortion and distraction. Prayer and truth can counter the spiritual wickedness in high places!
