Plucking the Eagle's Wings
Spiritual Wickedness in High Places
mail was opened, donations were removed, and prayer requests, which were written on envelopes, were sent directly to the minister. The minister placed the requests in a huge walk-in closet in his home and literally lay upon the pile of requests and prayed for the senders' needs. As time passed, Jack Harris entered the mission field and conducted large crusades and pastor's conferences in India. The television minister contacted Jack and asked for help in organizing a series of crusades in India. Jack planned the crusades on three occasions and observed that this American minister spent $90,000, $150,000 and $350,000 dollars on advertising for these crusades. Two Men and a Camera Video taping of the India crusades was forbidden in order to avoid having visitors fraudulently use such tape. During dinner that night, Jack was interrupted by a team member who said, "Jack, there are two men at the hotel desk who want to see you." He went to the front desk and found two men who wanted their camera and tapes back. Jack got the camera and discovered that there was a piece of tape over the camera's on/off light to conceal when it was on. Another piece of black tape covered the owner's name. Apparently, the men were in some way connected with a major American television network office in northern India. He returned the camera but withheld the tapes. He didn't realize at the time that these men were paid to get the video footage for use in a television expose that would be slanted against Months later, an American television network aired an expose on three major ministers in America. What Jack Harris and others witnessed in the show was very different from what they knew to be true. The expose included a portion of the video taken at the crusade in India. Apparently, the man in the crowd was able to keep some tape from being confiscated. The expose implied that the evangelist spent more money on Dallas billboards than he did in India. Having observed the huge the American evangelist. The Television Special
