Plucking the Eagle's Wings

Plucking the Eagle's Wings

followers.

When Christians had their noses rubbed in the dirt with the scandalous reports from among their flock, the media had a heyday watching ministers sweat. As the so-called right wing faltered, the left wing soared high in the air. The Secular Media is Now Controlled by the Ungodly Fallen religious leaders not only open the door to scrutiny, they deliver its key to the media! I think that such scrutiny is reasonable to a point, but when detectives follow television ministers hoping to find dirt on them, this goes beyond journalistic investigation into the realm of witch hunting. Any human being is vulnerable to misrepresentation when a reporter's very assignment is to haul skeletons out of the closet. If one's social and moral beliefs conflict with today's liberal views, then that person will likely be singled out and made into an example of hypocrisy. I have already said that this is a spiritual battle, but I have to remind myself of this when I get disenchanted with the media's condemnation of Christians. How many atheists and agnostics do you know who provide millions of tons of food to the poor like CBN's Operation Blessing? Do you know of any atheist who has ever built an orphanage for poor, abandoned children? Do the world's atheists donate money when national disasters hit? No, it is Christian organizations that help drug addicts, homeless people, the sick, disaster victims, the handicapped, and countless others in the name of Christ's love. The fact that conservative Christians, who are forever labeled the religious right, are actually serving humanity is often hidden from the public. A conflict rages over who holds the power to speak to America and whose version of its story is broadcast over the airwaves. When revisionists rewrite history without including God, they imply that He had either little influence or a negative influence upon America. As the media casts doubt upon those who disagree with its political preferences, it implies that these Americans are unreasonable bigots. This struggle for power is alive and well, but God's plans for America will not be stopped. Persecution is nothing new to the Almighty or His people, but we must be wise as serpents yet gentle as doves. One Rabbi's Opinion
