Plucking the Eagle's Wings

century, whoever possessed the spear ruled the world. Hitler stared at the spear for hours and meditated on its power. According to Hitler's diary, while staring at the spear he went into a trance. He wrote this about the experience: "The air became stifling so I could barely breath. The noisy scene of the treasure house seemed to melt away before my eyes. I stood alone and trembling before the hovering form of a superhuman—a spirit sublime and fearful—a countenance intrepid and cruel. In holy awe I offered my soul as a vessel of his will..." From that moment, Hitler became obsessed with the spear. In March of 1938, when the Nazis invaded Austria, Hitler promptly had the spear shipped to Berlin and ordered the excavation of a 900-foot-deep bunker to house it. While it was in his possession, Hitler marched on Europe and orchestrated the annihilation of six million Jews. When the Allies took Berlin in 1945, they confiscated Hilter's possessions. A month later, Hitler killed himself. Apparently he believed that the Allies had seized the spear, and he must have taken its alleged historic significance very seriously. History recorded that upon losing possession of the spear, one's power immediately collapsed (Source: Guardians of the Grail , J.R. Church). I believe that Hitler was demonically possessed and that it probably happened when he witnessed the manifestation of the spirit described in his diary. A concept that I have preached about which emphatically applies to Hitler is "principalities rule through personalities." Ephesians 6:12 teaches that supernatural forces can motivate people. It states, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Prince Spirits in High Places Ephesians refers to warfare against principalities (Ephesians 6:12). In the Greek New Testament, the word principalities means governments. This implies that wicked spirits can influence governments and strive either for or against nations. When Satan tempted Christ, he offered the Son of God all the kingdoms of the world if only He would submit to him. Satan said these kingdoms had been "delivered unto him
