This was a personal prophecy under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Sixteen hundred Pennsylvania Avenue is the address of the White House. Ten years later in 1980, Reagan, against all odds, ran for president. He trailed behind ten other Republican candidates who sought the nomination. A major factor was his age; he was nearly 70. Political analysts criticized him and said that he was too old to make correct decisions and that he might even die while in office. Others said that he was incompetent and a mere actor. Despite the objections, Reagan won the presidency in 1980 and was re-elected for a second term in 1984. Pat Boone, upon hearing that his friend had been elected, telephoned the Reagans at their Pacific Palisades home to offer congratulations. During the conversation, Boone asked if Reagan remembered the prayer in Sacramento ten years earlier. Reagan said, "Of course I do." Ten years earlier, God had revealed His will for Ronald Reagan. God appointed a man who was familiar with Bible prophecy to lead America during a profound era. Reagan was at the helm when the Iron Curtain fell and when the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics collapsed. Time for the Iron Curtain to Melt Sixty-two years before the rise of Communism, a man named Dr. Hudson Taylor was a missionary to China. Taylor loved China.
