enemy, and to keep a hedge of protection around the leader and his or her family. Individuals who know about the "zero cycle" commonly ask three questions: • Why does this cycle manifest about every twenty years in years that end in zero? • Why has it impacted Presidents of the United States? • Who or what may be responsible for this curse? Cursed by Shedding Innocent Blood I have spent much time researching the correlation between the "zero cycle" and American presidents. I now believe that the zero cycle may be a result of how our Founding Fathers treated the Native American Indians. With all of its greatness, we must be aware that America's early history is blood stained. Although we have fought to defend freedom, to stop the spread of atheistic Communism, and to deliver nations from terrible dictators, much innocent blood was shed on American soil. Multitudes of Native American Indians were slain at the hands of early, gold-seeking settlers from Europe. Columbus, who called the natives "Indians" since he thought he had landed in India, was tempted by their golden ornaments. Rumors of gold spread throughout Europe, causing Spanish explorers like Hernando Cortez (1519) to come to Mexico in search of gold. Cortez killed thousands of Aztec Indians, shipping their gold to Spain. The English and French sent ships to South America, Mexico, and North America in search of lost cities and hidden gold. Any Indian attempting to defend his village from the intruders met with the swift punishment of death. I will add that there were missionaries to the Indians, such as John Eliot (1631), Roger Williams (1636), David Brainard (1700), and John Wesley (1735) who were committed to teaching the Gospel of Christ's love to the Indians. While white men invaded the territory and chased Indians from their land, some Indians befriended the missionaries. The struggle between the new Americans and the Native Indians continued through the birth of America and its early presidents. Harrison and the Shawnee Indians
