Plucking the Eagle's Wings

Plucking the Eagle's Wings

• Lincoln was shot in Ford's Theater and Kennedy was shot in a Ford Lincoln limousine. In preparing for her husband's funeral, Jackie Kennedy searched through the White House library for information concerning the death of Lincoln and how to prepare for the death of a slain president. Kennedy lay in state in the Capitol rotunda where a statue of Lincoln overlooked the coffin. Kennedy was buried in Arlington National Cemetery just across the river from the Lincoln Memorial.
