of the heart, yet out of the “abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matt. 12:34). If praise for God is in your heart, then the praise will manifest with words from out of your mouth. Praise always consists of words that are spoken and not just thoughts that go unsaid . Prayer consists of words from the heart that are spoken with the mouth. When a person is converted to Christ, or “born again” (John 3:3), the first process is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, which is followed by confession with the mouth (words):
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. —R OMANS 10:9–10
We humans only see what occurs during the act of prayer on earth and not the arrival of the prayer in heaven or the action of the Lord upon hearing the sinner’s petition. Yet, the moment a sinner confesses Christ and believes he or she is made clean and righteous through Christ’s atoning work, the prayer is instantly received, immediately processed in the heavenly temple, and the action is twofold: the sinner is released from the
