are in opposition, “If God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will” (2 Tim. 2:25–26). Strife is a food that feeds evil spirits. King Saul became jealous of a teenage shepherd boy, David, who had decked a giant (1 Sam. 17). From that day forward, Saul “eyed David” and began to plan a setup for him to be killed by the Philistines (1 Sam. 18:9). Saul’s secret strategies were soon made known, and the spirit world began to go into operation. Eventually Saul was “troubled” by an evil spirit. God permitted his mind to be turned over to a tormenting demon that finally drove the king to fall upon his own sword in battle! I believe there are a large number of people who sit in church each week, tormented in their minds by spirits. Unforgiveness opens a door to the devil. In the New Testament, Jesus revealed other dangers to our spiritual walk with God that result from unforgiveness:

1. If you do not forgive others, then the Lord does not accept your offerings (Matt. 5:23–24). 2. If you do not forgive others, then God will not forgive you (Mark 11:26). 3. If you do not forgive others, you can be turned over to a tormenting spirit (Matt. 18:34–
