His Word (Mark 16:20). The Greek word for “confirm” or “confirming” means, “to firm up, to stabilize and to undergird.” When we preach salvation, the Holy Spirit makes firm the message by leading people to Christ. When we minister on the Holy Spirit baptism, the Holy Spirit confirms (makes firm) the message by baptizing believers in the Holy Spirit. The same is true with the message of healing. At the peak of his ministry, my father carried a great burden for people who were sick. Dad often prayed hours each day for people to receive their healing. I have witnessed him ministering on the subject of healing in order to build faith into the hearts of the listener. Following the message, Dad would offer prayer for the sick, believing God was able to bring healing. Many times people were either instantly or progressively healed. The Lord will work with us to confirm His Word. If we believe that it is God’s will to bless and prosper us, then we can receive the benefits of the promises. But we cannot receive a promise that we are unaware of . The seeds of ignorance produce a harvest of spiritual and natural poverty. The right seed must be planted in our spirits in the good soil of a pure and honest heart before God. The level of faith and commitment a believer has is linked to the amount of God’s Word (seed) that has been planted in his or her spirit. Those with little knowledge in the Word are considered spiritual babes in Christ who are nourished by the milk (basics) of the Word, which alludes
