Opening the Gates of Heaven Perry Stone

Virginia. On this particular afternoon I was praying in the basement of the church. I was lying on my back with a Bible under my head praying very intently. I became very still and quiet. Within seconds I saw a full-color vision of Rev. M. H. Kennedy, who was serving as an administrative bishop for about 450 churches in the state of Alabama. I saw him standing behind his desk in his office in Alabama. I heard him say, “Perry, do not go to the Parkway church … God has another place for you to go to.” I was scheduled to preach at a church named Parkway in Alabama in the first of February. The visions faded, and I jumped off the floor in amazement. That night following the service I called the pastor of the Parkway church and canceled the revival, not knowing where I was to minister. Weeks later I received an unexpected letter from Joe Edwards, the evangelism director for Alabama, inviting me to preach a revival at the Northport Church of God in Northport, Alabama. I placed the Northport church in the empty slot, replacing this church for the Parkway meeting. The Northport revival continued for four weeks, and during this revival I met the young girl who two years later became my wife! It was in February of 1988, after praying for about four hours, when the Holy Spirit spoke the words Manna-fest to my spirit and impressed upon me that this name would be the title of a future television program I would host.
