Opening the Gates of Heaven Perry Stone

The fact that this man was instantly healed demonstrated that Jesus was alive! A dead Jesus would not have the power to answer a prayer that was prayed in His name! We are told the key to this miracle was faith in the name of Jesus:

And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. —A CTS 3:16

Notice that faith in the name brought the miracle. The Hebrew name of Jesus, Yeshua , is actually a form of the name of Joshua ( Yehoshua ), the same name as the servant of Moses who brought Israel into the Promised Land. This name means, “Jehovah saved.” The point is that whether we say Yeshua or Jesus , it still takes faith in His name to see a miracle occur.
