for joy. I had bumps on my arms. I had witnessed a true miracle of instant healing! One of the most dramatic moments of my life came when I was eighteen years of age, at the same tabernacle in Virginia. It was again camp meeting time, and I was assigned as an altar worker, assisting in praying for seekers who came to the altars for prayer. As I walked in front of the wooden altar benches, for a brief second I saw an actual manifestation of the Spirit in the form of a small spinning cloud (like a miniature tornado) hovering over the right corner of the altar. Without thinking, I ran my right hand through the white spinning mist, and suddenly the hand of the Lord came mightily upon me. I began to pray for everyone around me and was actually so caught up in the Spirit that I did not realize how many people I prayed for. About an hour later, as I looked around, there were men and women lying out under God’s Spirit all over the concrete floor, weeping, praying, and receiving a divine impartation. If a person has never experienced a tangible anointing, the feeling and unction are impossible to explain in human terms. However, as my father always said, “God never wastes His anointing!” At times I believe the full gospel churches have painted the anointing as some mystical feeling or invisible power that causes the receiver to act in odd ways. However, the anointing is not just a feeling, but it also teaches a person “all things” (1 John 2:27). Most early full gospel ministers had little if any formal training,
