Opening the Gates of Heaven Perry Stone

In order to be saved or born again, we read, “With the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom. 10:10). Under the old covenant, the priest offered a lamb in the morning and a lamb in the evening. The imagery is that with the blood of a lamb, the Israelites would begin their day, and with the blood of a lamb the people would conclude their day (Num. 28:4). In the time of the Exodus, the blood of the chosen lamb on the outward doorpost of the house prevented the destroying angel from taking the life of the firstborn (Exod. 12). Today, we do not offer animals for sacrifices because Christ is the final and complete offering for mankind. However, the blood of Christ has been given all power over all of the power of the adversary, and the blood is applied by prayer and confession. I often pray that through the power of the blood of Christ my wife and children will be protected, our home will be preserved from danger, and we will have traveling mercy. I pray this because there are spiritual forces from the kingdom of darkness at work, making strategies and plans of which we are unaware, which can only be defeated through the authority of the name of Christ and the power of His blood. The battle for the firstborn and for all of our future children and grandchildren will continue until the time of the end. However, through prayer, confession, the ministry of angels, and the power of the blood of Christ,
