Opening the Gates of Heaven Perry Stone

A NGELIC M ESSENGERS The kingdom of Satan consists of principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and wicked spirits in heavenly places (Eph. 6:12). As parents, we are used to distractions, bad attitudes, and times of rebellion from a child. These are dealt with through discipline. But when a child is under a satanic bondage, it takes more than discipline— it takes deliverance. When we are battling a stronger spirit, it may require a higher intervention from an angel of the Lord to break through the barrier. When Daniel was praying for twenty-one days, the answer was hindered until Michael the archangel broke through the barrier in the heavens and released the angel of the Lord (perhaps Gabriel) to bring the revelation (Dan. 10). It required supernatural assistance to bring the breakthrough. God has numerous angels capable of bringing supernatural assistance to us if we will ask when we pray. One Scripture passage that has inspired me to ask the Lord for the assistance of angelic messengers is Hebrews 1:13–14: But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? I examined this passage and various translations only
